Going beyond rhinestones and brushed metal, explore the almost-forgotten era of this decade’s Victorian and Edwardian revival styles and get your groove on with Fantasy, Space Age and Op Art influences typically associated with the 1960s.

Tony Angeli

““My Work with Vendome – Coro’s Upscale Designer Line.””

In this session, jewelry designer Tony Angeli will talk about his career as a jewelry designer and enlighten the audience about his six-year career with Vendome.

Michael Whalton

Adrian Scannavino: The Untold Story of The Man Behind Adrian Classics;
His History with Bulova, Pennino, Trifari and Others

Adrian Scannavino was one of the premiere masters of costume jewelry design. His influence during the early- to mid-1900s in costume jewelry design and manufacturing is evident through the cultivation of history Michael Whalton has curated. During this session, Michael will share this never-before-seen archive consisting of a museum-level collection, related materials, and the personal history of Adrian Scannavino – a man who emigrated from Italy in the early 20th century, and became immersed in the world of jewelry design. During his lifetime, Scannavino touched nearly every major costume jewelry company in New York City that worked with “white metal.” His company, Adrian Classics, manufactured for Nettie Rosenstein, Natacha Brooks, Norma Company, Walter Lampl, Lavenia Company, and the Nordic Silver Company for which Frederick Bieberbach designed. Scannavino’s “By Adrian” hallmark is seldom seen, and his personal art line of jewelry is very rare. Learn how to identify pieces with his hidden trademark, and discover the mysterious legacy he left behind.
