Jewelry Patents Home

These patents were for jewelry designs approved by the United States Patent Office for pieces made in France for export to the US.   They are marked “MADE IN FRANCE”.    The Indian chief clip was copied by Trifari, and other Cartier pieces were copied by other costume jewelry companies.  Jeanne Toussaint was also one of the collaborators in creating Cartier’s famous panther jewelry for the Duchess of Windsor in 1948.
